The introduction of my dissertation aims to give context and describe the overall challenges faced in outer space in terms of both environmental concerns and construction problems. It will also outline the current possibilities and projects that would give humanity the chance to colonise space, such as potential lunar mining projects and constructing an orbital lunar station for deep space missions – these are just some of the projects currently being discussed and worked on.
